Versatility and Durability for belt conveyor rollers: Modular Systems and Heavy-Duty Transportation

The 135 Series shares the general characteristics of the 117 Series and it is fully interchangeable with the 138 Series, which consists of friction rollers. Together, these three roller families enable the creation of an extremely wide range of application combinations, ensuring maximum flexibility in package handling and belt conveyor transportation. They are particularly well-suited for the design and assembly of modular conveyor systems, where versatility and durability are essential.

Technical properties of 135 Series, suitable for belt driven roller conveyors

The most common tube construction for these rollers is either galvanized steel or special impact-resistant and noise-absorbing PVC. When a steel pinion version is required, the tube must be made from the same material to maintain structural consistency and performance. The steel shaft is tipically drilled and threaded, a configuration designed for medium to heavy loads, providing high structural rigidity and stability.

Each roller incorporates polyamide end caps house permanently lubricated, shielded 2RZ radial ball bearings. These bearing ensure smooth and quiet operation, while a polypropylene labyrinth seal enhances reliability ensuring protection from external agents such as dust and moisture. This advanced sealing system makes the rollers suitable for industrial environments where exposure to contaminants or fluctuating conditions is common.

Pinions and pulleys – typically made from polyamide - are resistant to wear, mechanical stress and deformation. They can be mounted using a specialized coupling system at the end of the tube or inserted directly inserted into the tube itself. These elements can also be easily replaced with compatible components from the 138 series, allowing conversion or modification of driven conveyors for accumulation lanes. Steel pinions are available upon request, with two construction options: a coupled assembly fully interchangeable with the polyamide version, or a configuration where the pinion is welded directly to one end of the tube. Both options provide resistance under heavy-duty use, extending the overall lifespan of the roller system.

When constructed with a tube in PVC or AISI 304 stainless steel tube, combined with stainless steel bearings and shaft, these rollers are an ideal solution for humid or corrosive environments. They are well suited for food processing and chemical industries, where strict hygiene standards are required. The particular shape of the end caps, combined with the couplings and bearing design, results in a roller that is exceptionally robust and suitable for belt-driven roller conveyors.

For rollers with steel tube diameters of Ø40, Ø50 and Ø60 mm, standard models are supplied in antistatic version, thanks to the dissipative properties of the materials used. For special or customized applications, it may be necessary to include an antistatic device.

Main features

Versatility and interchangeability

The 135 Series rollers are fully interchangeable with friction rollers from the 138 Series, offering exceptional adaptability and ease of integration into existing conveyor systems. This allows seamless upgrades or replacements without altering the existing conveyor structure. This interchangeability simplifies maintenance and makes the system adaptable to changing operational needs.

PVC Tube construction

The series, suitable for belt conveyor rollers, is available with PVC tubes and polyamide end caps. These rollers are ideal for belt conveyor roller from light to medium-duty load applications, offering a balance of strength, low noise, and resistance to wear.

Hygienic stainless steel option

For belt-driven roller conveyor requiring frequent washing and strict hygiene standards, such as food processing or beverage production, the stainless steel version of these rollers is the ideal solution. This material also offers protection against corrosive agents, providing superior longevity and reliability.
