Company profile
Rulmeca Corporation, founded in 2003, serves equipment manufacturers and end users across the United States and Latin America through a well-established network of independent distributors and local service providers. As a wholly owned subsidiary of the Rulmeca Group, the company acts as the key link between customers in the Americas and Rulmeca factories in Europe.
Strategically located in Wilmington, North Carolina, a major East Coast seaport, Rulmeca Corporation benefits from efficient inbound logistics that help reduce both shipping times and transportation costs. Its position near Interstate 40, together with access to Charlotte International Airport and Raleigh-Durham International Airport, also supports fast and reliable outbound deliveries whenever customer needs require short lead times or urgent shipments.
A skilled and experienced team, combined with a 30,000 sq ft facility, modern assembly equipment, a global ERP system, and a substantial inventory of components, enables Rulmeca Corporation to respond quickly and efficiently to market demands. These capabilities allow the company to assemble a wide range of Motorized Pulleys locally, ensuring reliable “just-in-time” delivery and fast turnaround for quick-ship requirements when operational continuity is essential.
In addition, customized Consigned Inventory Programs provide U.S. customers with further advantages, helping to reduce lead times, improve supply chain flexibility, and optimize inventory levels while maintaining cost efficiency.
Our mission is to enable conveyor system operators and engineers to benefit from the use of Rulmeca Motorized Pulleys in aggregate and sand production, mining and mineral processing, food processing, as well as logistics, warehousing, and manufacturing industries. This is achieved by providing timely sales support, local U.S. assembly, and service at a reasonable price.
“Establishing the U.S. corporation enables the Rulmeca Group to meet the unique needs of the materials handling market and strategically follows the acquisitions of several conveyor component manufacturing facilities.” – Brian Vrablic, President of Rulmeca Corporation
In 2003, Rulmeca Corporation was founded in Wilmington, North Carolina, to sell and service Rulmeca motorized pulleys in the US bulk material handling market. Initially, all products were made in Germany.
By 2005, Rulmeca Corporation expanded its operations by renting a larger facility, hiring more staff, and starting local assembly and repair services for a limited range of bulk material handling motorized pulleys.
In 2011, Rulmeca Corporation doubled its facility size, increased its inventory, and purchased machinery to start manufacturing some parts locally. This expansion also involved using the Wilmington port for European imports.
Rulmeca Corporation added small motorized pulleys to its locally assembled product portfolio in 2014, extending its services to the unit handling market and the food processing industry.
In 2017, Rulmeca acquired its first CNC lathe and overhead cranes, enabling the local manufacturing of motorized pulley shells for unit handling applications.
The company moved to a larger 1,800 square meter facility in 2018, allowing for increased sales and production staff, more space for locally assembled pulleys, and the establishment of a comprehensive repair department.
The "Horizon Project" was completed in 2023, involving the expansion of the Wilmington plant, increased staffing, additional CNC machinery, and new assembly and testing equipment, including an autoclave. This project reduced production lead times, increased local assembly capacity, and introduced hot rubber lagging vulcanization.
