Product testing and plant trials have well demonstrated that polymer rollers are a cost-effective alternative to traditional materials such as steel, bronze and aluminum in bulk handling applications.
The design of Rulmeca PL roller uses premium plastic materials for the most critical parts: roller shell is PVC, while bearing housings are in polypropylene with fiberglass. Both are highly resistant to most chemical agents, water, humidity, and other corrosive elements present in the environment or the conveyed material itself. Also, they can handle low and high temperatures from -10°C to +50°C and support heavy loads while maintaining lightness, balance, and noiselessness. High mechanical properties of PL roller are also ensured by its own design as a precision arrangement and generously dimensioned components allow optimal load distribution and belt contact. Besides that, another key advantage of PL roller is reduced energy consumption due to the outer PVC shell and contact-free parts in the sealing system.
Thanks to its features, PL roller provides a long working life combined with low maintenance costs even where difficult operating or environmental conditions prevail.
