Rulmeca operates a Service centre fully dedicated to the repair and assembly of Motorized Pulleys
The 80LP series continues the well-established tradition of Rulmeca’s LP drum motors family offering an efficient, compact, and silent drive solution for belt conveyors. Like all models in this range, the 80LP features an internal planetary gearbox that is housed within a hermetically sealed, oil-filled drum. This design encloses all the key mechanical components—motor, gearbox, and bearings—within a single, compact structure, which not only reduces the overall size and weight but also offers protection from external elements. As a result, the product requires less maintenance and is highly durable.
In addition, the 80LP series offers a variety of configuration options to meet the specific needs of different installations and working environments, making it adaptable to a wide range of applications.
Standard 80LP includes the following technical features that ensure a reliable, durable, and efficient drive for unit handling systems.
Among its key characteristics, the product features a 3-phase or 1-phase AC induction motor making it versatile and compatible with a range of power supplies. The motor operates with a single-rated voltage configuration, which ensures stable and predictable performance throughout its operation.
For added protection, the 80LP is equipped with integrated motor protection, safeguarding it against overloads and overheating, extending the lifespan of the internal components. Additionally, it is possible to choose between a techno-polymer gearbox or a hybrid techno-polymer/steel version, both design for durability, low friction, and minimal wear.
The drum motors of Rulmeca’s 80LP series operate with exceptionally low noise, making it ideal for environments where quiet functioning is essential. Its lightweight construction along with its sealed design, requires no maintenance and benefits from lifetime lubrication, eliminating the need for periodic servicing.
Moreover, its reversible functionality allows the conveyor direction to be easily changed, adding flexibility and adaptability across different applications.
Thanks to its features and benefits, the 80LP drum motor is an ideal solution for small conveyors handling light loads and non-continuous operations. Its compact design and low-maintenance nature make it a perfect fit for a wide range of applications, including packaging, processing, and simple transfer equipment. Some examples of its uses include:
The security provided by efficient material handling components capable of guaranteeing reliability and durability of conveyors.
The most suitable material handling components for conveyors for those seeking robust and flexible solutions that allow for rapid sorting.
Material handling components that guarantee rapid, fluid and precise transportation.
Plus
One of the most significant advantages of the Rulmeca 80LP is its fully integrated design. All critical components—including the motor, bearings, and gearbox—are integrated within a single sealed drum. This results in a conveyor system that occupies less space, simplifies installation procedures, and significantly reduces the potential risk of mechanical damage.
The lightweight construction of the 80LP, achieved through advanced materials along with the compact arrangement of all internal components, reduces overall weight without compromising strength or performance. This makes handling, mounting, and maintenance activities quicker and easier, particularly for conveyor systems or applications where frequent repositioning may be necessary. The reduced weight also contributes to energy efficiency, as less power is required to drive the unit, promoting lower energy consumption.
Another major advantage of the product lies in its hermetically sealed construction that prevents dust, water and contaminants from entering the system, making it especially well-suited for hygienic environments. The lifetime lubrication system ensures that the internal gears remain protected and operate smoothly without the need for periodic maintenance.
