Rulmeca operates a Service centre fully dedicated to the repair and assembly of Motorized Pulleys
Rulmeca offers a range of motorized pulleys designed to provide compact, reliable, and low-maintenance drive solutions for tough and irregular bulk handling applications. The range includes two different load capacities to match specific project requirements:
Understanding the differences between models is essential when selecting the most suitable solution, starting with the estimated belt tension. For optimal performance and safety, the actual radial load must always remain below the maximum allowable limit.
Special care should be taken when using thick, heavy or large belts, as they can generate excessive belt tension, putting stress on the system and reducing performance. If the selected solution cannot achieve the required tension, it is advisable to choose a larger diameter to ensure proper functionality and prevent failure.
Both models feature a robust gearbox system housed in a carbon steel shell with an enclosure class of IP66/67, ensuring high protection against dust and water.
M for Medium-duty
The 400M model is equipped with a 2-stage cast aluminium gearbox with machined helical gears, designed to withstand tough, irregular and demanding working conditions. It includes standard thermal protection switches and is available with a stainless-steel exterior for corrosive or high-pressure washdown environments. Its internal components are engineered to provide reliable performance and maintain consistent belt tension even when operating conditions vary significantly.
H for Heavy-duty
Equipped with a reinforced 3-stage cast iron gearbox and machined helical gears, the 400H model is designed to deliver the necessary torque for low-speed and high-power performance. Its heavy-duty construction allows it to handle irregular loads under extremely harsh conditions without compromising durability, efficiency or overall performance. These motorized pulleys ensure smooth and reliable operation even in the most challenging environments, where strength and consistency are essential.
Both models are designed to perform reliably in tough and irregular operating conditions. By combining advanced engineering with integrated components, they reduce maintenance requirements, save space, and improve overall conveyor system efficiency.
In addition, motorized pulleys offer low power consumption compared to traditional drive systems, contributing to energy savings. Their sealed design protects internal components, extends service life, and enhances safety by enclosing all moving parts within the pulley shell.
This results in a compact, efficient and durable solution that ensures long-term performance and reduced downtime.
Material handling components ideal for mining applications that require flexibility while guaranteeing durability and safety during transportation.

Material handling components designed and manufactured to resist corrosion and respond to the varying requirements of the conveyor system.
A complete range of material handling components for conveyors, characterized by reliability and durability, offering solutions for all requirements.
Plus
Motorized pulleys 400M & 400H feature a design that integrates the drive unit, bearings, and gearbox directly within the pulley shell, eliminating the need for external drive components such as chains, gears, or couplings. This compact design saves valuable space in conveyor systems, simplifies installation, reduces mechanical complexity, and makes the product ideal for applications in confined areas.
Since all the components of the all-in-one pulley are enclosed within the shell, the total weight is evenly distributed along the structure. This balance minimizes stress that could cause wear or misalignment on the conveyor framework. In addition, balanced operation ensures smoother material handling, reduces maintenance downtime, and improves overall productivity.
Designed for durability, the shell of these motorized pulleys protects all internal components even from harsh industrial environments, including extreme temperatures, chemicals and moisture risk. This sealed construction reduces the risk of mechanical failure because of environmental exposure and eliminates the need for frequent cleaning or lubrication, ensuring consistent performance regardless of external influences or working conditions.
