PS Series: Ultra-Resilient Rollers for Heavy and Extreme Load Handling in Harsh Conditions

The PS series consists of idle or driven rollers specifically engineered for handling heavy and extremely heavy loads. These rollers are used in a broad range of industrial applications where strength, durability, and reliability are essential. Manufactured entirely from high-quality steel, the PS series originates from the bulk material-handling sector (PSV series). Building on this heavy-duty background, the PD rollers have been adopted across multiple industrial conveying systems, particularly where components capable of supporting very high loads without compromising performance are required. For example, they are ideal for heavy-duty gravity conveyor systems.

The unique UNIBLOC design

The most distinctive structural feature of the PS series is the UNIBLOC design. In this system, the bearing housings - calibrated to the ISO M7 tolerance - are welded directly to the tube ends. This creates a single, solid, rigid assembly called UNIBLOC. The rollers use rigid radial ball bearings from the 6204-6205-6206-6308 series: these bearings are permanently lubricated, requiring no maintenance over their lifespan. Lubrication is guaranteed by two elements: an internal guard that contains the correct amount of grease, ensuring smooth operation and by an external multistage centrifugal labyrinth seal which prevents contaminants from entering the bearing. For the PS series, this labyrinth system is made from anti-corrosion thermoplastic material and operates without physical contact, reducing friction and extending both bearing life and roller efficiency. The shaft is also made of steel, generally produced with threaded holes for screw type mounting. Alternatively, it can be milled to allow mounting with a wrench.

Thanks to their high structural strength, PS rollers excel in applications where both performance and durability are critical. They can be used as gravity conveyor rollers, for example, where low rolling resistance and high load capacity are essential. The PS series performs exceptionally well when transporting very heavy items such as industrial components, metal blocks, or large pallets. Their efficient bearings and well-balanced construction allow heavy loads to move smoothly along the conveyor without the need for powered assistance.
