Although Rulmeca Canada markets its product and services through Distributors, Original Equipment Manufacturers and Engineering Houses, Rulmeca realizes that the key industries require an accountable presence in the field to ensure each person is catered to accordingly. Those being, Dock Terminal, Forestry / Pulp & Paper, Various Mining and Processing - Potash, Coal, Diamond, Iron Ore, Lead / Zinc, Nickel, Gold, Phosphates, Oil Sands, Salt, Uranium, etc.

1947

Rulmeca Canada Limited (then Precismeca Limited) began operations in 1947 at Sulzbach, Germany, initially repairing, then manufacturing conveyor rolls for the underground coal and potash mines of the Saar region.

1959

A sister company was established in Saverne, France in 1959, followed by manufacturing facilities in various countries around the world. During this time, the product line expanded to include pulleys and other conveyor related equipment.

1975

Before 1975, Rulmeca/Precismeca Germany and France supplied product to many North American customers such as Great Canadian Oil Sands (now Suncor), St. Lawrence Cement Company, Iron Ore Company, and Alwinsal Potash (now Nutrien Lanigan). In 1975, Rulmeca/Precismeca Canada began production in Edmonton to supply all the initial idler requirements for the new Syncrude mine in northern Alberta.

1979

Operations were moved in 1979 to a new plant in Nisku Industrial Park, near Edmonton.

1996

To increase capacity and improve customer service, the plant size was doubled in 1996.

2000

In 2000, Rulmeca Group, a leading manufacturer of rollers/idlers and motorized pulleys based in Bergamo, Italy acquired Precismeca Limited in Canada, Germany and France. As a result of the acquisition, Precismeca Limited has expanded the network of new customers across the globe. Rulmeca Canada Limited, in Wallaceburg, now supplies replacement, standard and custom designed conveyor idlers, motorized pulleys and structures to many customers and projects in North and South America.

2003

In 2003 a further expansion of the plant was carried out.

2010

In 2010 the operations were transferred to Wallaceburg, Ontario Canada.
