Belt Driven Roller Conveyor

Rollers for belt driven conveyors

Belt driven roller conveyor systems are a series of rollers, supported by a structure, which are driven by a belt. According to standard belt driving systems, motion can be transmitted with a flat-section belt, where a unique belt tensioned between the drive and the reversing pulley runs under rollers, or with belt rings where each roller is singly connected through a belt to a unique driving shaft located under rollers.

Belt driven roller conveyor systems are suitable for unit handling and, thanks to their features, they can meet different requirements allowing the transportation of various unit items or pallets. Despite these specific conveyors are usually flat, a slight slope is admitted, provided the required adhesion limits between roller and load are observed. Concerning the type of materials to be conveyed, belt driven roller conveyor systems are suitable for handling a great variety of heavy and light loads of both regular or irregular shape. Moreover, the possibility of sliding action between the belt and the roller in case of overload is a favorable condition for the transfer of fragile goods or for the accumulation transport with pressure between loads units, although this is not always recommended. Whatever conveying conditions are, belt driven roller conveyor systems feature a particularly silent running, also at high speeds.
