138 Series Rollers: Friction-Driven Flexibility for Diverse Package Handling Applications

The general characteristics of the 138 series correspond to those of the 117 series, and the series is perfectly interchangeable with the 135 series, which is comprised of driven rollers. They differ from the latter in the geometry of the pinion, as in this case drive is transmitted to the shell by friction. They ensure optimal package transportation even in the presence of dripping or lubricants. The combination of products from the three families (117, 135 and 138) allows for an extremely wide range of applications to be composed, offering the utmost flexibility in package transportation and extreme freedom in the creation of modular systems. The easily interchangeable components allow sections of conveyor operated for accumulation to be easily converted into driven conveyors. The most common constructions have a tube in galvanised steel or in special impact-resistant and noise-absorbing PVC. The steel shaft is usually drilled and threaded, ideal for obtaining a rigid overall structure. The polyamide end caps house permanently lubricated shielded 2RZ radial ball bearings. Protection from external agents is further guaranteed by a labyrinth cover in polypropylene. Pinions and pulleys, which are also usually in polyamide, are particularly resistant to wear and to stress, and are fitted to the element at the end of the tube. These are available in steel for certain variants. When constructed with a tube in PVC or AISI 304 stainless steel, combined with bearings and shaft in stainless steel, these rollers are ideal for installation in humid or corrosive environments and in food-related applications.

Für Stahlrohrdurchmesser Ø40, Ø50 und Ø60 werden die Standard-Förderrollen aufgrund der ableitfähigen Eigenschaften der verwendeten Materialien in antistatischer Ausführung geliefert. Es wird darauf hingewiesen, dass bei Sonderausführungen auf Anfrage weiterhin der Einsatz der antistatischen Litze erforderlich sein kann. Für die Serie 138R kann die antistatische Ausführung nur durch den Einsatz der antistatischen Litze realisiert werden.
