Rulmeca de Portugal, Lda. , is situated in Covilhã, a city with a fast and easy access to the greatest urban centers of the Country ( Lisbon and Porto). City that is considered the door of the " Serra da Estrela " the highest mountain of the country and the only center which offers atractive conditions for the practice of winters sports.



This is the land of the wool industry, birthplace of discovers  of 500; today a cosmopolitan university city.

At the south - east slope of the mountain, Covilhã, with 45.000 inhabitants is one of the most important urban center in the interior of the country.

Since 800 years ago exist the work of wool, which reflects especially in modern industries, being Covilhã, one of the principal woollen manufacture of Europe.

It is an academic and technologic city, where is located the university named "Universidade da Beira Interior ", with almost 5.500 studants in the various courses.
